Chard Road Runners 2018 Club Championship

The Club Championship (CC) is a competition to get you name (1 male, 1 female) engraved on our shiny plaques. The 2018 CC will run from January through to December and the plaques awarded at the club Christmas meal.

How it works.

The aim is to score as may points as possible from your best 6 races out of 15 qualifying races. The male and female with the most points from their six best qualifying races and any additional bonus points are the winners.

How to get points.

Points are awarded on your finishing position within the club from 20 down (20,19,18 etc)

There are also  two (free) parkruns included in the list. The finishing order for these will be based on your age graded percentage found in the results.

New for 2018 there is a multi day, multi distance race included.  Chance for more than one person to get maximum points that weekend.

There are also points gained based on the number of races you participate in, so 1 point for each race. This is to reward enthusiasm, not just speed.

You can earn a bonus points for volunteering at each of our three home races.

Qualifying races.

You need to have run at least six of the 15 qualifying races. Your best six scores will be used for your final total plus any bonus points you have.

I have chosen local races, mainly shorter distances but with a marathon, a couple of half’s  and a couple of park runs.

I have not included our own races (Flyer, Waddle, Forde Abbey) as we need members for marshalling.

Who can take part?

Anyone who is a paid up member of CRR. CRR must be listed as your club on the results and Club kit must be worn.
